The Thread of Our Ancestors

In our school, learning is not just knowledge. It is experience, discovery, and connection.

The theme of the 4th grade “The Thread of Our Ancestors” is a journey into the children’s identity. Through interviews, family trees, personal threads of origin, and collective maps, students discover where they come from and how their personal stories meet and become one shared story.

They explore traditions, customs, and cultural practices, get to know costumes and songs from different places, and share tastes and family stories. They learn to respect diversity, recognize their common points, and understand that each identity is a valuable piece of a larger whole.

At the same time, the theme connects with History, Natural Sciences, and STEAM, allowing knowledge to gain depth and meaning through experiential activities and teamwork.

For us, “The Thread of Our Ancestors” is a reminder that education is not only about the present, but also about the roots that support us and the future we build together.
