🎉 A culinary journey through Austria

On Friday, March 27 in the afternoon, our 4th grade German classes took us on a journey to Austria!

We visited the Vienna Cafe in Peraia, where we were warmly welcomed by the owners, Herbert and Anna Teissel, as well as Chef Maria-Mairy Kamargiannaki for a tasting experience. The children created a large book filled with information about Austria – geography, nature, cities and landmarks, sports, celebrations and traditions, famous personalities, as well as traditional dishes. 📖✨

Then, they presented their book in German to the owners and the parents who attended, shared their new vocabulary, and discussed each topic they had studied. And the experience didn’t end there… it was followed by a tasting of savory and sweet dishes, where the chef explained each flavor while the children tried everything with great enthusiasm! 🍰🥨

It was an open lesson in an authentic learning environment and a truly… delicious afternoon! 😋
