The snowball that came from Finland!
Our student’s family had the opportunity to visit Finland for a few days! Before leaving, and half-jokingly, we asked him to bring us back some snow. And he did!
The day before his trip, he asked the school custodian for some styrofoam! He built a cube and made a hole just big enough to fit the container he was going to use. His parents, like anyone would, wondered if he would actually try to keep his promise! Of course, they knew their child 🙂—and in the end, he succeeded!
Today, he brought his snowball to school and shared his adventure of keeping it frozen! Special operations with ice packs, airport security checks, luggage compartments, and more. The first time it melted slightly was when the children in class examined it—until it was finally placed in an honorary spot in the school’s freezer!
Why are we sharing this with you? It’s about curiosity, knowledge, the drive to explore, passion, ingenuity, belief in a goal, and joy!
Oh, how much joy is missing from education! The feeling that something unique will happen at school today!
