A performance... written by children!
200 people on stage… A performance written by children… to remind us of the miracle…
The miracle of our existence…
"Once upon a time…
- time…
- the sky…
- the place…
- the kites… and now we have the story."
Once upon a time, kites flew freely in the sky.
Freely.
But freedom is not always a given.
Sometimes, it seems boring.
Perhaps taken for granted...
Sometimes, (mom, dad) when I cry and ask you to buy me more and more and more, you tell me you didn’t grow up this way.
Once, you told me that what I do is ungrateful, that everyone is greedy now.
That I must lose what I take for granted to truly appreciate it.
Once upon a time, kites flew freely in the sky…
Until they got bored of flying…
And so, they went into a box… and there, they lost everything. Their freedom, their time, their connection.
And suddenly, they remembered…
Once upon a time…
We had seen a person.
His hands were buried in the soil, his hair one with the wind.
Nettles and thorns grew on his knees.
His palms were puddles of muddy water.
He had no eyes, no mouth, and the sky above him was always gray, full of clouds, lit only by lightning.
A soul trapped in chaos.
Until this person discovered that he was made of miracles and returned to the universe.
This person was a wish.
What wish would you make now?
"I wish to change..."
We move forward with this wish and with the memories of a performance that had it all.
A team that worked as one, powerful words, high-level set design and direction—even though the children had only four days of rehearsals.
