📚✨ Just before the new school year begins, we remember...
How is a language concept “built” in our classroom?
For us, language is not just a subject. It is a way to communicate, to express ourselves, to observe the world around us. And that’s exactly how we started this time too… from life itself! 💬🌿
🎯 Our goal: to get to know verbs – the words of action – and to organize them based on their spelling endings. But not theoretically. Not dry. Experientially!
🤸♂️ “Today we become… spring!” we told the children. And we went outside! We observed, moved, played, and recorded everything that spring “does” around us.
🐾 The children gave spring a voice:
“I am spring and I blow, bloom, water, sprout, dance, buzz…”
And so, our classroom filled with verb lists – full of action, imagination, and meaning! 🌼✍️
🧠 Then, we studied all these verbs together:
▪️ We grouped them
▪️ We searched for patterns and rhymes
▪️ We formulated spelling rules
▪️ We became little… linguists!
📖 Each group of verbs became an object of study through:
✔️ research in authentic texts
✔️ audiovisual material
✔️ discussion
✔️ written practice
✏️ In this way, learning became play, research, and creation. Because when language “lives” within us and around us, then it can truly… #verbsinaction
