🌦️ When Science meets English… magic happens! 🌈

In Second Grade, the weather became an opportunity for experimentation, collaboration, and creativity within the framework of CLIL (Content & Language Integrated Learning).

The children didn’t just learn words in English — they put them into action.

After mastering the basic vocabulary (sun, rain, wind, heat), we split into groups and became young scientists and builders 🧪

The mission: to design and build weather shelters for different weather conditions.

Using styrofoam, cardboard, plastic, transparent paper, tongue depressors, and LEGO, each group built its own shelter and put it to the test:

☀️ heat & shade

🌧️ rain

💨 wind

We observed, compared, and discussed:

does it stay dry or get wet?

does it withstand or collapse?

does it move or remain stable?

In the end, we recorded our observations on Observation Sheets, drew our constructions, and suggested ways to improve them by changing materials and testing new ideas — using simple sentences in English.

🔬📘 CLIL Science in action

Where knowledge does not remain on paper.

It is built, tested, and evolved.
